About Blaze & Shirley

Click apply to start the adoption process. Blaze (the orange tabby) and Shirley (the brown tabby) were the final pair rescued from the Cumer Road Trailer Cat Project last year. When they first arrived at the rescue in July, they were incredibly fearful—reactive, withdrawn, and overwhelmed. The original plan was to place them in a barn home, but with gentle care and patience from volunteers, these amazing cats started to show promising signs of trust. Today, Blaze and Shirley are blossoming into the confident, curious, and highly social cats they were meant to be. They enjoy spending time with other cats and now eagerly seek out attention from people—something unimaginable when they arrived. Both would absolutely thrive if adopted together, and their bond is a joy to witness. Their perfect home is a tranquil and understanding one, ideally without dogs or young children, where they can continue to flourish side by side. They are ready for a new chapter and would love a forever home that celebrates their progress. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
