Jade is a sweet, 1 1/2-year-old Lab mix who’s just the right size at about 55 pounds. Since her stray days raising six puppies (plus helping out with an orphaned pup), Jade has shown a gentle side and clearly loves human attention. She starts her days with tail wags and can’t wait to get out of her kennel—she’s all about making people happy. She’s house-trained, knows basic commands, and has good manners with treats and mealtime. Her favorite toys are a unicorn and Lambchop, and she’ll chase after a ball—even if she hasn’t quite mastered bringing it back yet. Jade is picky about her dog friends and isn’t comfortable with most other dogs. She’s watched others play but just doesn’t trust them. She might get along with some dogs after careful introductions, but for now, she belongs in a home where she’s the only dog. Jade does not get along with cats either.
