About Drax
Drax is a Belgian Malinois mix with a stubborn streak and a heart that’s even bigger. Born in March 2024, he’s already survived more than most, bouncing back after being run over as a pup—a rough accident that damaged his pelvis, led to surgery, and cost him his tail. The outcome? He moves with a funny stride now: his rear right leg is strong, and his left leg lags behind but gets the job done. You’ll see quick progress with him. Drax is full of life, playful, and thrives on attention. Despite the injury, he’s constantly in motion and eager to engage with his people. His house manners are solid. He’s housebroken, leaves your things alone, and can be trusted uncrated when you’re out. Socializing with new people and pets is still a work in progress, and he hasn’t been tested with cats. For now, he does not get along with other dogs. He enjoys three or more walks every day, keeping him mentally and physically sharp. Drax is neutered, up to date on shots, and weighs about 60 lbs. He’s maturing well but will need an adopter committed to his ongoing socialization. Ready to see the world from a Malinois’ point of view? Give him the home he deserves. What are you waiting for?
