About Rocky

Meet Rocky, affectionately called Rock Rock. He's fully house and crate trained, gets along well with other dogs, and is okay with cats. Bath time and car rides are a breeze for Rocky, and he has lovely manners when taking treats. Food and toy guarding isn’t an issue here. Rocky was adopted for a while but returned after showing some protective behavior at home—he doesn’t love strangers entering his space and does best with slow, controlled introductions, ideally outside before moving indoors. Sometimes it helps to give him his own room during these meet-and-greets. Rocky thrives with a dog-savvy person who understands the quirks of bigger breeds, and he'd really like a canine playmate. In the right environment, with consistency and structure, he's loving and bonds deeply once he feels at home. He’s shown no issues meeting new people at the shelter; it’s just in a settled home environment where his watchful, protective side shows up. His adoption fee is sponsored. Adoption is the new adventure! Ready to roll?
