About Nova
Lets make it official, apply to adopt! Nova is a loving spayed female Pit Bull Terrier mix who arrived at New Nodaway Humane Society in December 2024 and quickly became a staff favorite. At 8 years old, she’s a senior gal who is all about the simple pleasures: curling up on the couch, enjoying a cozy nap, and snuggling up for a relaxing movie night. She has an easy walk on the leash and is highly treat-motivated, so she’ll never stray far if you have snacks in hand. Although Nova is excited around other dogs, her previous family shared that she didn’t always get along with them, so a meet and greet is required if you have other canine family members. She thrives in a home with calm, laid-back companions—if any. Nova has a few skin tags and fatty lumps, but these are merely small reminders of her journey and do nothing to dim her affectionate spirit or gentle heart. Nova is often overlooked simply because of her breed, but anyone who spends time with her quickly recognizes the sweet treasure she truly is. She longs for a forever home where she can be surrounded by warmth, cuddles, and the love she deserves in her golden years. Start your journey together! Apply now.
