About Ma'am
Click apply to start the adoption process. Meet Ma'am, a 4-year-old brown tabby Domestic Short Hair who has recently arrived at New Nodaway Humane Society after being surrendered with her kittens. Ma'am is an independent cat who prefers not to sit on laps or be picked up, but she can be brushed and groomed with care. She has lived outdoors, uses the litter box reliably, and enjoys playtime, showing her playful side when she's feeling safe. Ma'am tends to be quiet and on the shy side and, as staff has observed, may hiss and shrink down when being petted due to her nervousness. With time, patience, and understanding, Ma'am is given the space she needs to decompress and adjust to her new environment. She has done well with dogs in her past home and would thrive with a gentle adopter who respects her boundaries. Her adoption fee is $30 until December 31 and includes spay/neuter, up-to-date vaccinations, and microchipping. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
