Manhattan is a 5 year and 1 month old, large male American Staffordshire Terrier/mixed breed with a brown and white coat. He is neutered, vaccinated, and house trained. Currently, Manhattan is in Mount Vernon, IN, adjusting well to his foster home and looking for someone patient to help him keep building confidence.

About Manhattan

Manhattan is a survivor. Early on, he was wary—he spent his first month finding every possible place to disappear. Food slowly cracked his shell, and a trusting foster stepped in. These days, Manny lives with both dogs and cats and gets along well in his foster home. He’s house trained now and, while he still approaches new people cautiously, once Manny trusts you, he’ll crawl right onto your lap and dole out kisses. He absolutely loves time outside, whether it’s chasing after another dog or just staking out a sunny spot in the yard. A home with another confident dog would do him good, both for play and for comfort. A fenced yard is also on his wish list. Manny needs patience, but the payoff—a loyal, goofy friend—is worth every minute. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
