About Maine
Maine is a striking blue-gray domestic shorthair cat searching for a fresh start after coming from a tough situation. In spite of a history of neglect, including a hoarding environment and losing all his teeth, Maine adapted well and happily eats both wet and dry food with no trouble. He’s naturally shy and will need a gentle, patient adopter who understands subtle cats and doesn’t mind moving at his pace. With time, Maine shows gratitude in quiet ways: a lean into chin scratches, coming out for Churu treats, and letting you brush his soft, short coat. He really enjoys having other cats around and feels most secure in a home with feline companions. Dogs are fine too, but a calmer environment without young kids is best, since Maine needs peace and predictability. If you’re searching for a gentle soul to welcome into your quiet home, Maine might be your new companion. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
