About Princess Peach

This incredibly gorgeous 7-year-old girl is looking for a compassionate adopter that will give her a safe and loving home and see to her specific needs. We don't know how this beauty ended up at risk in an animal control facility in southern Illinois, but we are determined to make her life better and give her a second chance. When Princess Peach first arrived at NAWS, we were concerned she was diabetic. While in foster care, we learned that her condition can be managed with a diabetic low carb diet. She does not like wet food and eats only dry - she will need a diet of freeze dried food or low low carb/diabetic food. It would be helpful if she lost a little weight and hopes to find an attentive adopter that will monitor her diet to improve her health. Princess Peach needs a quieter home where she can be the only cat. She can co-exist with dogs as long as they give her space and leave her alone. Shelter life was very stressful for her and her foster home with a lot of animals can be difficult for her at times. She loves to sleep on her foster's pillow or next to her head. She shows every day that she REALLY wants more love, but would prefer to be pet on her head/neck/chin and not her belly or behind. This lovely girl is ready to be a devoted companion. She just needs an adopter that will see to her specific needs - she is worth the extra effort! Want to help care for her while she waits to find her forever home? You can be a "Sponsor!" Click on the "sponsor" button on this profile and your one-time donation will be used for vital everyday essentials such as her food, litter and medical care! Thank you for helping save lives! All NAWS cats are spayed/neutered, micro-chipped and up to date on vaccines. A Cat Adoption Application is required should you decide you’d like to apply to adopt a NAWS cat. Please complete and submit the application electronically on our website at http://www.nawsus.org.
