Poppy is a spirited young Terrier mix who currently lives in a foster home in Memphis, TN, but she’ll head to Maryland once she’s matched. She’s about two years old, naturally social, and adores other dogs almost as much as she loves people. Playtime is her favorite part of the day—she’s always up for fetch (even if she’s still figuring it out), tug of war, or a lively game of chase. Food is a major motivator for Poppy, so she benefits from a slow feeder and gentle reminders about table manners. She’s crate trained and willingly hops into her kennel for a treat. When her people return home, Poppy races over for cuddles and attention. She’s working on curbing her excitement, especially the occasional jumping up, but her sweetness always shines through. If you let her, she will happily snuggle by your side or on the bed. Poppy thrives on affection, reassurance, and plenty of play sessions.
