About Tessa
Tessa is an 11-year-old spayed female German Wirehaired Pointer with a big personality. She’s all about the hunt, and her keen nose means she can find just about any gamebird—from pheasants to turkeys. Tessa needs a job and absolutely loves to play fetch, which helps her show off a softer, calmer side once she’s had enough activity. Her e-collar training means she responds right away to a beep, making her easy to direct both in the field and around the house. She’s housetrained and well-mannered when her need for engagement is met, but Tessa struggles with other dogs, cats, and small children. After repeated conflicts with her canine housemate, her owner made the tough call to find her a home where she’s the only animal and gets all the attention. She’s best suited for an adult household with experience handling passionate working dogs—especially one where Tessa can keep busy doing what she loves. Fun fact: born November 7, Tessa is a Scorpio, known for her drive and focus. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
