About Finnegan

Finnegan is a 9-year-old, medium-sized mix of Dachshund, Chihuahua, and Poodle, weighing around 30 pounds. He's had cataract surgery and will need daily eye drops for life, plus a monthly injection for Addison’s disease, but he takes all this care in stride and can enjoy a normal, happy life. At heart, Finnegan is affectionate and craves close companionship—he sticks by your side and lights up the room just by being near. He gravitates toward people and is eager to love, though given a little extra time, he’ll warm up to men too. This devoted fellow isn’t a good fit for apartments due to his occasional barking if left alone; he’d do best with a calm, steady home and someone who works from home or is home most days. Busy walks and noisy environments can overwhelm him, but he’ll flourish with a patient adopter willing to help him adjust—with professional training support provided. He gets along with cats and other calm, small dogs. Finnegan’s looking for a secure, quiet spot where he can settle in and bring that loyal spark to your everyday. Think you are the one?
