Fitz
AvailableFitz is a large, neutered male American Staffordshire Terrier and Cattle Dog mix, around 3 and a half years old, with a medium brown coat. About Fitz
Fitz is three years old, about 70 pounds, and full of stories—and energy. Raised in a foster home since he was just five weeks old, Fitz bounced back from a rough start after recovering from a skull fracture caused by a larger dog. Both neutered and microchipped, Fitz is up to date on all appropriate vaccinations, heartworm negative, and ready for his next chapter. Day-to-day, Fitz is a lively presence, happiest when he’s running around with his foster siblings or heading to doggy daycare. Playtime is serious business for him, whether it’s with dogs or the cats he shares his home with—he does great with all. Fitz is completely house and kennel trained. He hasn’t lived with children but likely would do well with older, respectful kids. Fitz tends to warm up quicker to women but has done well with men at daycare, and just needs a bit of patience with new male figures at home. He would fit best with an adopter ready to give him a little space and encouragement as he gets used to a new environment. As a bonus, he’s got a flair for fashion and doesn’t mind being dressed up for a laugh or a photo. Fitz is well socialized and friendly with other dogs, loves swimming, and rarely meets a four-legged stranger. He’s overlooked far too often and is ready to finally find his forever family.
