His gentle nature shines through every wag of his tail, and he gets along wonderfully with both dogs and cats in his foster home. Like a true beagle, river’s hound nose is always on the move, sniffing out every little thing and adding an extra spark of fun to every walk. He’s shown himself to be a loving companion, embracing everyone with his warmth. River appears to be housebroken and has not had any accidents indoors so far. Despite the chilly weather, he enjoys spending time outside and savoring the fresh air. At 10 years old and approximately 20 pounds, river is considered a senior, and while he is a bit underweight right now, his foster cares deeply and is helping him regain his strength. River is currently being fostered at Mountain Rottie Rescue of New York and is ready to find a home where he can continue to thrive. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
