About Charles

Charles, better known as Charlie, is a striking, big-headed, low-slung American Bulldog mix with plenty of attitude and even more personality. At about 60 pounds and decked out in brindle, he’s impossible to miss—especially with his confident walk and those signature male wraps that he wears as bold accessories. House training? He takes a creative approach. Charlie likes to leave his signature around, sometimes even marking on his foster siblings... or his human, if the mood strikes. It’s just part of his “extra” flair, and his foster family has grown to appreciate his comedic timing. Under the bravado, Charlie is a goof with a knack for keeping everyone entertained. Life with him is never boring, thanks to his unique looks and even more unique antics. He gets along well with other dogs and is good with kids, but he’s not a fit for homes with cats. Currently, he’s undergoing treatment for heartworm—which, while curable and not contagious, is an important consideration for an adopter. Mostly Muttz Rescue is more than happy to talk through what heartworm treatment means and to answer any questions. Charles is available for foster or foster-to-adopt (two-week trial), with support through his treatment. Ready for a one-of-a-kind companion with a sense of humor?
