He is about 2 years old and is currently being cared for at Mo Min Pin Rescue. Willie is neutered and fully up to date with his vaccinations, so he’s ready for a fresh start in the right home. While he is still learning about people, he gets along well with other dogs and will do best with someone familiar with his breed.
About Willie
Click apply to start the adoption process. Willie is a 2-year-old, 17-pound Miniature Pinscher who found himself in rescue after his breeder mom passed away. Now in the care of his foster dad in Tullahoma, TN, Willie is looking for a patient and understanding adopter. Because he has had little to no human socialization, Willie is very shy and may try to run if he feels overwhelmed, so a secure fence is absolutely necessary—he's even managed to climb a chain-link fence before! Willie will need guidance to learn how to be a beloved house dog. He is not leash-trained and isn’t likely to be a snuggly companion at first. He will thrive best with someone who has experience with Min Pins and understands the need for one-on-one time to help him adjust and gain confidence. Willie is fully vetted, neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up to date on vaccinations. Fun fact: with a birthday of September 1, Willie is a Virgo, meaning he might grow to appreciate structure and gentle consistency in his new home. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!

Questions about Willie
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Miniature Pinschers do best in homes where they have space to explore but are also kept secure, such as a house with a fenced yard. They enjoy being indoors with their families and are adaptable to both city and suburban environments.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Miniature Pinschers are energetic and benefit from a securely fenced yard or frequent walks. While they don't need a huge amount of space, they do need safe outdoor time for exercise and mental stimulation.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Miniature Pinschers can do well with older, respectful children, but their small size and spirited nature mean supervision is recommended with young kids. Early socialization helps them adjust to family life with children.
