About Willie
Willie is a small, young Miniature Pinscher mix with a short brown and tan coat. At about 2 years old and 17 pounds, he's still learning what human companionship is all about. Willie's previous life offered almost no socialization, so his new owner will need both patience and a yard with a very secure fence; he can climb chain link and may bolt given the chance. Leash walking isn't in his skill set yet, and if you're looking for immediate affection, Willie probably isn't your match. With steady one-on-one time and positive training, he has the potential to become a real homebody. Min Pin experience is preferred, as his history makes him a project best suited for someone who knows the breed. Willie is fully vetted—neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative. He is currently being fostered in Tullahoma, TN, but is available in Hazelwood, MO. Give them the home they have been waiting for. Apply today.

Questions about Willie
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Miniature Pinschers like Willie do best in secure homes where doors and yards are well-locked, as they can be escape artists. They thrive when given enough time and patience to acclimate, and they do well in either houses or apartments as long as their need for activity is met.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Willie would benefit from a securely fenced yard where he can safely explore and exercise. Miniature Pinschers have lots of energy and curiosity, so having space to burn that off helps prevent boredom.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Miniature Pinschers can live with children if they're well-socialized, but a timid dog like Willie may do better in a quieter, adult-only household or with older kids who understand his boundaries.
