About Darby
Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now! Darby is an adorable Chihuahua/Terrier mix with the cutest short legs and a lively personality. He has shown incredible resilience, having fully recovered from leg surgery to correct a growth issue with one of his front legs. While he will always have a limp and his foot points outward due to the leg's shorter length, Darby isn’t bothered at all—he gets around just fine! Extra care was taken to ensure his comfort, and his days are now filled with play and relaxation. Though Darby hasn’t started using the dog door again, he enjoys plenty of time outdoors and is crate trained. He particularly loves curling up in a lap for a snooze when he's not having fun wrestling with his sister, Clarissa. Darby’s mixed heritage gives him his unique look—and perhaps even a hint of Dachshund or Corgi, given his family resemblance. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped, so he's ready for a loving home. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
