About Goose andor Maverick

Goose and Maverick were found abandoned out near Clewiston, left with two much larger dogs. While the big dogs couldn't come in, these two young, sassy Rat Terrier brothers stayed together. Both are just under two years old and form a true bonded pair—a split isn't an option with them. They act shy around strangers but turn into loyal companions once they warm up. Each has his own personality: Goose, with the mainly white face, is the cuddler and shadow, while Maverick, with a tan face, is more independent and prefers his own space sometimes. Both dogs are quick thinkers, very food motivated, and have shown a knack for squeezing under fences if curious or if someone unfamiliar is nearby. Because of this, a secure fenced yard is a hard requirement, along with close supervision outdoors. Squeaky, squishy toys are a hit and keep them occupied. They're crate trained, which is especially handy at feeding time. Both dogs know recall and respond well to someone who understands Rat Terriers. These boys are not suited for a first-time dog owner, nor for a home without a proper yard and a handle on working-dog personalities. Goose and Maverick have to go to their new home together—these brothers come as a package. Adoption is your chance to give them a happy new life. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
