Click apply to start the adoption process. Meet Tuktuk, a sweet and affectionate 2.5-year-old Lab mix ready for his forever home with someone patient and loving. Tuktuk is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations, as well as current on flea and heartworm prevention. He has excellent house manners—kennel trained, fully house-trained, and doesn't chew or have accidents indoors. Tuktuk already knows basic commands like sit, shake, come, and go to bed, and responds very well to positive reinforcement, training aids, and structured support. He is partially leash trained and continues to learn more every day. Tuktuk has a playful and curious personality and thrives on attention, though he can become anxious in new situations or if left alone without enough engagement. He warms up quickly to new people, but unfamiliar experiences may startle him, making a stable and patient home ideal for helping him build confidence. Due to his higher energy and adjustment challenges, Tuktuk would do best in a home without small children or other dogs, even though he is currently living with another dog. He has recently shown some food guarding behaviors, likely from a competitive feeding situation, but has made great progress with structure and dedicated care. A home with a tall, secure fence or the ability to offer supervised outdoor time will be crucial, as he has previously jumped fences and is taking trazodone to help with anxiety and escape attempts. Tuktuk is not aggressive—his veterinarian describes him as anxious but friendly, with a loud bark that may sound intimidating if he gets scared. He is very obedient, doesn't jump up on people, and loves to please when given time, attention, and stability. For the right adopter willing to continue helping him feel secure and engaged, Tuktuk will become an unbeatably loyal and loving companion. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
