Randy says, "Start loving me today and I will love you forever." At just over a year old and around 13 pounds, Randy is at a perfect age where his character is still unfolding. Naturally shy, he feels safest in calm and stable environments where gentle patience makes all the difference. Give him time, and his personality will start to shine through as he learns the world isn’t so scary. Randy is bright and is ready to work on leash and crate training. At his age, socializing with both kids and cats comes easily. He already gets along well with other dogs and grew up alongside his siblings, who are also looking for homes. His mixed heritage, thought to include Labrador Retriever and Black Mouth Cur with hints of Beagle and Jack Russell Terrier, gives him a distinctive look and great potential as a companion. Randy is currently in Puerto Rico and will travel to New York or New Jersey as soon as his adopter is approved. He’ll need plenty of exercise and patience, especially when it comes to house training in his new setting. With the right person, Randy will thrive and return all the love given to him.
