About Penelope
What are you waiting for? Apply today! Penelope has faced her share of challenges—she was given up by her previous owners, simply because her lively spirit was more than they were prepared for. As a very high-energy, young Chug, Penelope never received the dedicated training she needed as a puppy, and it shows in her zest for mischievous adventures. She’s house trained, but her puppy-like curiosity means if you leave a chair out, she’s likely to climb the table, and the trash can is irresistible if left uncovered. She’s a playful handful looking for someone devoted to teaching her boundaries and guiding her to become her best self. Despite her wild-child ways, Penelope has a heart of gold. She adores cuddles, is always up for a game, and finds great joy in the company of people and other dogs. Walks are her favorite way to explore the world, and her affectionate nature shines through when she’s snuggled by your side. Penelope is a truly good dog who simply needs a caring person willing to invest some love and patience into her training. With the right guidance, she’ll blossom into the perfect companion! They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!

Questions about Penelope
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
A Chug, a mix between a Chihuahua and a Pug, is typically adaptable but often thrives in homes where they receive ample attention. They can do well in apartments or houses, as long as their exercise and social needs are met.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Chugs don't require a huge yard, but they enjoy daily walks and some playtime outdoors. Access to a small, secure outdoor area or frequent walks is ideal for their moderate energy levels.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Chugs can be good with children, especially if socialized early. They are playful and affectionate, but supervision is important with young kids to ensure gentle interactions.
