About Ferrari

Ferrari comes from Texas and has settled into his foster home as a friendly, medium-energy dog. At three years old, he spends most of his day lounging, sunbathing outside, or quietly watching his humans go about their business. Ferrari’s polite with cats—mostly choosing to ignore them—and always perks up when he sees a school bus, hinting at a past life with children. He gets along with dogs, cats, and kids. During the day, he is mostly quiet and relaxed, coming alive when it’s time for a walk or dinner. He sometimes cries when left alone, no matter where, but his foster family is helping him work through it. He’s shown no interest in chewing things that aren’t his, sticks to his own toys, and hasn’t damaged a thing in his foster’s care. Ferrari knows basic commands like "sit," "lie down," and "come," and he’s game to learn more if you are. While not perfect on leash yet, he improves by the day. Car rides, hugs, and meeting new people are all at the top of his list. He’s enthusiastic about long hikes, and while still gaining experience, he learns quickly. Just note—Ferrari overheats easily above 80°F, so he’ll need a bit of extra gear and water on warm outings. On hikes, he’ll even carry his own water with his backpack. He’s crate trained and house trained, though he may protest being left alone in a crate; calm words help reassure him. Ferrari would suit either a busy family or someone who spends more time at home.
