About Spike

Spike arrived alongside his father Butch after losing their owner. While Butch adjusted more easily, Spike went through deeper trauma and has taken longer to relax in this new chapter. He’s never shown a mean streak, but it’s tough watching him struggle with receiving affection—it seems foreign to him. Lately, though, he’s started to respond to gentle touches and shows real progress with patient care. Spike is great with other cats and thrives in their company. He needs a calm, stable home environment, ideally with someone who understands that he will take his time to settle in. If given space and kindness, Spike has the chance to blossom into a loving companion. Click apply to start the adoption process.
