Toast has spent more time than most waiting for his family. At nine months old, this orange tabby has already been through plenty—rescued with his mom and siblings from life in a culvert, Toast faced illness early on, nearly losing an eye. Thankfully, his eye healed, and while it can still be a bit runny, it rarely bothers him now. Toast approaches new people carefully and needs a patient adopter who will give him time to gain trust. But when comfortable, he’s affectionate and generous with head bumps and biscuit-making in your lap. Living indoors has been a smooth transition for Toast. He does well with other cats and is fully litter box trained.
