About Charlee

Charlee is a 2.5-year-old brindle Great Dane who's been spayed and has her immunizations up to date, including heartworm and flea prevention. House trained and crate-savvy for short periods, she’s had both basic obedience and socialization training—knows "sit," "go to your bed," "leave it," and "back" well. Charlee’s leash manners are generally solid, but she is sometimes reactive around other dogs and will benefit from continued work. She’s currently 120 lbs and stands a striking 42" tall. In foster care, Charlee has shown resource guarding over food and toys, and can be territorial with people or places in the home. Outside, however, she gets along with dogs in structured settings and regularly attends group play. Charlee does best as an only dog or possibly with another similar-sized canine in a household led by someone who knows Danes. No cats or chickens—she just doesn’t do well with them. Her energy is high: she thrives on play, hikes, walks, and lots of social time, but she's also a champion cuddler. Charlee is ready for a forever home—not a foster. Adoption is limited to local CT applicants. If you see a fit, reach out. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.

Questions about Charlee

  • What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?

Charlee, as a Great Dane, usually does best in spacious living environments with enough room to move around comfortably. A house with a large yard or ample indoor space will help her thrive.

  • How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?

Great Danes like Charlee enjoy access to a securely fenced yard to stretch their long legs, play, and get daily exercise. While they can adapt to smaller yards with enough walks, more space outdoors is always better for a giant breed.
