About Charlee
Start your journey together! Apply now. Meet Charlee, a stunning 2.5-year-old Great Dane with a brindle coat who’s looking for her forever home in Connecticut. Charlee is spayed and pexied, up to date on immunizations, and receives regular heartworm and flea prevention. She is completely house trained, potty trained, and spends short periods comfortably in her crate. Charlee has solid basic training, knowing cues such as “Sit,” “Go to your bed,” “Leave It,” and “Back.” She continues to build on “stay” with someone in sight and “down” due to her impressive size. Leash walks are a breeze for Charlee, though she may react to other dogs and will benefit from continued positive reinforcement and training. Weighing in at a full-grown 120 pounds and standing 42 inches tall, Charlee has demonstrated some food and toy possession in the foster home and can be protective of people and places there. Her best fit will be as an only dog or with another dog her size and an owner familiar with large breeds, especially Danes. Charlee is highly social outside of the home, regularly attending playgroups, and she adores playing, hiking, and cuddling after activity. She has been exposed to cats and chickens and should not live with them. Charlee is not searching for a foster but is ready for her permanent loving home. If you think you could be the perfect match, reach out today to help her start her new chapter. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
