About Darling
Foster Update: "Meet Darling, affectionately called Miss D. She is an absolute angel! She is house broken, listens to commands well, doesn't bark, sits quietly in a crate when needed, requires minimal exercise, and is the sweetest snuggle bug! She has done great with my three personal pets having no issues coexisting with them. She is able to be left unaccompanied out of the crate for extended times when I have to leave for work without an accident. She loves my 4 month old son and has become his shadow. She loves to snuggle in bed, play with balls, chew on bones, and give kisses! She can be a little nervous as first around new people, especially men, but has warmed up to my husband and now snuggles up to him just like she does me. She does currently have a cherry eye which will need vet attention prior to adoption but other than that she is healthy, up to date on vaccines and prevention and is spayed. Darlings ideal home would include a place where she can get endless snuggles and low activity play time with bones and balls. However, I truly think she could fit in anywhere that's willing to give her love. She is very flexible and adaptable. She is very full of love and ready to share all she has to give with her forever people." On 8/19/25 I visited Darling in her kennel. Her kennel cards had blue dots, and she was curled up at the front of her kennel, tense, whale eyed. I offered treats and she rose and ate the treats. I opened the door and entered her kennel. She was somewhat timid at first, but soon opened up to be sweet, gentle, and affectionate. Video uploaded. 11/04/2025 Kennel Card / Website Memo darling was in playgroup on 11/4/25. She was friendly but she mostly kept to herself. She preferred to be with the handlers than the other dogs. She would overcorrect the other dogs. She has a gentle dainty playstyle. On 8/22/26 Darling met another female dog , with the exact same character as hers (calm, timid, kept to self). Darling had to be carried outside, once outside she showed hardly any interest in the other dog . Just a sniff and kept to herself, did not move at all in the yard and stayed close to the handler who to her out. From foster1 1/19/25: Just wanted to do an update for darling #MASA48680 Darling She is absolutely amazing. Does great with other dogs, cats she is edgy about so it may take some time.
