Meet Oreo! Adoption fee: $150 Oreo is a loving, gentle cat with a mysterious past and a heart full of gratitude. He showed up one spring day in a Southern California neighborhood — thin, scared, and calling out for help. Despite his rough start, it was clear he had once known love; this sweet boy adores people and happily settles into your lap for snuggles once he feels safe. Over the summer, Oreo’s foster parent helped him regain his strength and health. He’s now fully vetted — tested, vaccinated, dewormed, and neutered — and in wonderful shape. Though he bears a few scars from run-ins with a territorial outdoor cat, Oreo himself is a peaceful soul who prefers affection over confrontation. You may notice that some of Oreo’s photos show him outside, but he will need to be indoor-only in his forever home. He’s had enough adventures for one lifetime, and with the dangers of coyotes and other outdoor hazards, he’ll be much safer (and happier!) staying cozy inside. Now, he’s ready to begin a new chapter up north in Portland, Oregon, where he hopes to find a forever family who will give him the love and security he’s been missing. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who just wants to be by your side, Oreo is your guy. * We do not allow same-day adoptions. * This is because we want our adopters to consider the commitment of owning a kitty. We are also a volunteer-run organization. We do not always have someone available to process the adoption agreement and medical records at the time of the in-person meet and greet. What is covered in our adoption fee? Mario's Paw felines come: Microchipped, Spayed/Neutered, FIV/FELV tested, UTD on age-appropriate vaccines, de-wormed, and flea-treated. * We do not permit any feline to be adopted without receiving a spay or neuter surgery. * In addition to the above, your adoption fee helps us cover supplies, admin costs, and vet bills that arise with all of the kittens that come into our care. We take in many medical cases that require extra surgeries such as eye enucleations and amputations, specialist visits, and imaging. Because of the adoption fees, we are able to bring in more medically needy felines!
