Adoption fee: $150 Please note that Mama Moonshine is FIV+ Moonshine started out as the shy wallflower of the group but now she’s blossomed into the adorable love bug I can’t resist! Once she warms up, she reveals her secret weapon: the tiniest, sweetest little meow you’ve ever heard and the best hug skills in the household. Her foster has even taught her a fancy party trick, if you call her name, she’ll hop right onto your lap like a furry acrobat. Then she puts her paws on your chest and demands premium, quality pets and scratches. She is very affectionate and very sure she deserves all of it. Moonshine is also extremely friendly with other cats. Like… too friendly. She will sniff faces, sniff butts, sniff anything that belongs to a cat, and sometimes this level of enthusiasm gets her in trouble. But she means well! She would be a wonderful companion for a social kitty who doesn’t mind being thoroughly sniff inspected. Moonshine is FIV positive, which simply means she has a lowered immune system. With good care, proper nutrition, and a safe indoor life, cats with FIV often live just as long and happily as other cats. She can share a home with friendly feline companions, and most importantly, FIV is not contagious to people or dogs. * We do not allow same-day adoptions. * This is because we want our adopters to consider the commitment of owning a kitty. We are also a volunteer-run organization. We do not always have someone available to process the adoption agreement and medical records at the time of the in-person meet and greet. What is covered in our adoption fee? Mario's Paw felines come: Microchipped, Spayed/Neutered, FIV/FELV tested, UTD on age-appropriate vaccines, de-wormed, and flea-treated. * We do not permit any feline to be adopted without receiving a spay or neuter surgery. * In addition to the above, your adoption fee helps us cover supplies, admin costs, and vet bills that arise with all of the kittens that come into our care. We take in many medical cases that require extra surgeries such as eye enucleations and amputations, specialist visits, and imaging. Because of the adoption fees, we are able to bring in more medically needy felines!
