About Smeagol
Smeagol is part of a special Lord of the Rings-themed litter, and he sets himself apart with his plush, creamy orange coat and striking bunny-soft fur. He’s just four months old and already shows signs of being the biggest in his batch, so expect him to grow into a handsome, solid cat. His fur isn’t quite medium or short—it falls somewhere between, with that unmistakable ragdoll silkiness, even though he’s a mixed breed. Smeagol is famously gentle and affectionate. He’s happiest being carried over your shoulder, purring away and taking in the view. If you’re looking for a bulletproof kitten who is easy with kids, cat-savvy dogs, and other cats, Smeagol stands out. He isn’t always in your lap, but he’ll join you on the couch and seeks out feline friends for play and cuddles. Smeagol needs to be adopted into a home where there’s already a playful young cat (under age three), or you can adopt one of his siblings as a companion. He’s fully vetted and ready for his new chapter. Smeagol currently lives in Austin, TX and is adoptable to homes in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico, and Louisiana. All adopters must fill out an application before meeting him. Visits are by appointment only—this is a foster-based rescue, not an open shelter. Click apply to start the adoption process.
