About Smudge

Smudge is a two-year-old, 34-pound brindle mix of Pit Bull Terrier and Chihuahua, and she's packed with personality. She's a high-energy, comically spirited dog who's always on the move and never short on opinions. Toys are her absolute world, and she lights up instantly when given something to play with. After surviving her first year chained—dragging hardware meant for a car and later having it surgically removed—Smudge hasn't let her rough start dampen her spirit. She craves attention and is a joy in her boarding environment, soaking up every ounce of affection and routine. Smudge is not a fit for homes with kids, other dogs, or cats, as her prey drive keeps things interesting. She absolutely needs to be the only pet and would benefit from a fenced yard with privacy to keep her world peaceful. Smudge is enough dog for any household and thrives with structure. She’s spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and needs someone ready to let her shine solo. An apartment could work as long as it's single-pet and attentive to her needs. She’s ready to be someone’s sunshine at last. Adoption is open throughout the U.S. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
