About Sweet Pea

Sweet Pea is the sort of cat whose beauty sneaks up on you—a unique blend of tabby, tortie, and white called a Tabico. She came from a challenging start, growing up among dozens of other cats. Her health was poor and, under stress, she lost much of her coat. In foster care, Sweet Pea blossomed with regular meals and gentle attention. She now loves window-watching and is often found napping in a sunbeam unless her person is home, then her favorite spot is right in their lap. Play is serious business for Sweet Pea. She’s all about tossing small toys, sprinting under beds, and giving feathery foot swats—never scratching. She’s not a fan of being picked up; affection comes on her terms. Skittish at times, she’ll come running when her foster squats down, but shies away if approached standing. Outdoors, she ventures only with her trusted human nearby. If left alone, she’s quick to dash back inside. Her affection is reserved but sincere. She curls up behind knees at night and occasionally bumps noses. Sweet Pea delights in shredded canned food and nibbles on dry kitten kibble for snacks. Her hair is slowly returning. She does not seem to tolerate other cats and likely needs a quiet, single-animal home to truly thrive. Sweet Pea is waiting for a calm, patient adopter who can let her open up on her own terms. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
