About Hero
Hero and his best friend Kalooki were left behind right before a brutal freeze in Tulsa. They kept each other safe through the cold, but after the storm, tragedy struck—Kalooki was hit by a car. Hero, desperate for help, darted into traffic and managed to guide rescuers to her. The two were briefly reunited, but Hero eventually lost his companion for good. Now, this medium-sized pittie mix is looking for stability and a home that matches the loyalty and affection he gives. Hero is all heart: he thinks he’s a lap dog, greets everyone with warmth, and just wants someone to belong to again. He’s currently not housebroken but is crate trained and eager to learn. Hero gets along well with other dogs and children, soaking up any kindness sent his way. After surviving loss and hardship, he deserves a chance at real comfort and love.
