About Wizard

Wizard’s story is a hard one. He was adopted as a kitten, did fine for two years, and then abruptly stopped using the litter box. After being returned, Wizard found a new home, but the same issue led to him coming back after just a few weeks. Vets have ruled out medical causes, pointing to a behavioral trigger. Wizard is completely deaf, gets startled if he doesn’t see you arrive, and needs a quiet, low-stress environment. He’s been crated at night and given his own space during the day, and hasn’t had accidents outside the box in his foster home. Wizard mostly keeps to himself, sometimes playing, but he comes around for affection on his own terms. He gets along with calm dogs and can potentially live with another gentle, easygoing cat. Expect him to be cautious at first; once he feels secure, he’ll seek out attention, but surprising him makes life harder for everyone. Wizard is looking for someone with patience and a tranquil home where he has time to settle in and trust. He’s a sweet, shy cat with a lot of love to give, especially if you move at his pace. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
