About Maisy
Think you are the one? Submit an application! Maisy was rescued in a moment of need and has since blossomed into a fun-loving, energetic companion who is eager to find a forever home. At about one to two years old, Maisy is still brimming with puppy energy and thrives on having a set routine—this helps her feel safe and content. She does best with plenty of physical and mental stimulation, as boredom and anxiety can turn her into quite the chewer. A one-mile walk is her daily highlight and she’s always up for adventure! Maisy is both potty and crate trained, as well as heartworm negative, spayed, and microchipped. She responds well to basic cues like sit, down, and give paw; however, she’s still learning about walking politely on leash and perfecting her manners with counters and visitors. Because she’s still working on impulse control, especially around jumping, a home without small children is ideal. Maisy is incredibly food motivated (blueberries are her favorite treat!) and picks up new commands quickly, making training sessions a joy. Weighing in around 40 pounds, Maisy is a medium-sized dog who doesn’t always realize her size—she’s happiest curled up in her foster mom’s lap or soaking up backrubs. She can be a bit exuberant around small dogs and hasn’t met any cats yet, so a home without small pets would be best. A six-foot fenced yard is a must to let her safely burn off that excess energy. Maisy’s foster family hopes to keep in touch with her future adopters, if comfortable, for updates and the occasional visit! Masiy is a Pisces, which means she’s naturally sensitive and loving. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
