About Sampson
Sampson is an energetic, medium-coated Shepherd mix in Pleasanton, CA, eager to meet his forever family. At about 2 years old, Sampson thrives in an active home. He’s potty trained, crate trained, and doesn’t get into things he shouldn’t—bones are his treat of choice. Sampson shines on walks and jogs and has great leash manners. He already knows how to sit and shake with either paw, and accepts treats with a gentle touch. Fetch is a new favorite, and he’s a quick study. Sampson enjoys living with another male dog in his foster home and has gotten along with male and female dogs at the shelter. His playful side is still young, so another patient or energetic dog would make a great match for him. He’s outgoing, greets people warmly, and handles himself calmly in public—even around reactive dogs. Because of his enthusiasm, Sampson would do best in a home with kids 10 or older. He does not get along with cats, so a feline-free home is required. Sampson is hoping the right family will come along soon. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
