About Sugar
Your new best friend is just one click away. Sugar is a sweet-natured, resilient girl whose journey brought her from Mississippi into the safe care of Lucky Dog Refuge. After being abandoned at a vet in 2021 and spending three years boarding, she found her way north when her stay there came to an end. Sugar has shown her love for people and thrives on human companionship, making her an ideal companion for someone looking for a devoted friend. Sugar absolutely adores people, but she prefers to be the only pet in her home. She doesn’t get along with dogs or cats, so she’s searching for a family where she can be the center of attention. Sugar is wonderful on her prong collar and walks beautifully, having received proper training. With her short coat and medium size, she’s easy to handle, and her affectionate, gentle, and loyal personality will win your heart. As a May baby, Sugar is a Taurus, which means she brings steadfast love and comfort to those she cares about. She’ll need a bit of patience with house training while she adjusts to a new routine, but her desire to please makes the transition easier. Start your journey together! Apply now.
