About Skitzer

Skitzer came into the world on August 1, 2018, making her a confident and slightly quirky Leo. Her earliest days were tough—she struggled to survive as a kitten, abandoned and barely weighing two pounds, with no mother to care for her. That rough start left her anxious, constantly on guard and quick to run from anything unfamiliar. When Skitzer was finally rescued as an adult, the adjustment to life indoors was overwhelming for her. She hid, avoided people, and needed a slow introduction to feel safe. Her foster gave her the chance to decompress privately, which slowly built her trust. With patience and consistency, Skitzer blossomed into an affectionate and loyal cat. She loves following her people from room to room, grooming them as a sign of thanks, and enthusiastically making biscuits whenever she feels content. Although she is still managing her anxiety—sometimes with medication—she has shown remarkable progress and affection for those she trusts. Skitzer tends to keep to herself around other cats and is easily picked on, so she’d do best as the only cat or with a gentle, cat-savvy companion. Rowdy children and unpredictable environments aren’t a fit; she needs a calm, adult-only home where she can build her confidence at her own pace. If you’re looking for a gentle, snuggly companion who will reward your patience with real loyalty, Skitzer might be your match. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
