About Marshmallow
Marshmallow lost her original home when her owner passed away and entered the shelter with three other dogs. Adjusting to the shelter has been hard for her; the noise and chaos left her deeply unsettled, and it took a month of patience before she felt safe enough to come out of her kennel. Now, she’s learned to enjoy yard time and loves jumping around outside. Marshmallow is fully house trained. Once she trusts you, she’s eager for affection and will nuzzle her head onto your lap, soaking up all the love you’re willing to give. She has a soft spot for her morning breakfast sandwich. Marshmallow isn’t aggressive, but she has her opinions and isn’t afraid to express them. She does well with other dogs, though cats are a different story—she’s curious and will need focused training to safely live with them. In a temporary foster home, Marshmallow got along with the farm’s dogs, and she especially gravitates toward women, preferring their company over men, particularly men with beards. When it comes to bedtime, she turns into a big snuggle bug if the environment feels right. She’ll happily share affection and attention in a home with women. All dogs are spayed prior to adoption and will go home microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations, and fully vetted for worms and flea/tick prevention. Give her a chance to adjust, and she’ll make a comforting, loyal companion. Adoption applications are open. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
