Gabby & Zane
AvailableGabby & Zane are a bonded pair of young domestic short hair cats with brown tabby coloring, living in Edgewood, MD. Both are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, house trained, and need to remain on a special urinary diet due to Zane’s health. They prefer a considerate environment where their needs are respected.
About Gabby & Zane
Gabby & Zane are sibling cats who have an unbreakable bond and must stay together. Both approach new people with caution, but with time, they open up. Gabby takes the lead, assertive and particular about her boundaries, while Zane is much more reserved, but finds comfort in Gabby and those who are gentle. After spending some time in a home, they returned to the rescue and it was discovered that Zane had struggled for some time with untreated urinary crystals. This has since been managed with a dedicated urinary diet, which both cats will need to remain on. Their adopter will need to monitor Zane's health with a vet and keep both cats’ dietary needs in mind. Gabby and Zane have previously coexisted with other cats, and respectful feline companions are likely to be accepted. While they have been exposed to dogs, they have not interacted directly with them, so slow, careful introductions are key if there are quiet, respectful dogs in the home, but they would likely prefer a dog-free environment. Older children who give them space should be fine. Both are about a year old as of June 2025 and have already been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and are house trained. Choose them if you are willing to keep up with a special urinary diet, ongoing vet check-ins, and want a duo that thrives together. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
