Meet BJ! BJ is a sweet and gentle 2–3-year-old mixed breed girl weighing about 51 pounds. She has the perfect mix of playfulness and snuggly affection, making her a wonderful companion. BJ is crate trained and settles in nicely when her foster family is away, but when they return, she’s ready for fun! She loves chew toys, chasing balls, and romping with other dogs. Walks are enjoyable for her, but her absolute favorite place is the dog park, where she can run and play with every pup that’s willing. This smart girl comes when called and is picking up new skills every day. She’s doing great with pottying outside. Many things are still new to her, so sudden sounds or movements can sometimes startle her. Because of this, she’ll thrive best in a patient home with older kids, where she can continue to build confidence at her own pace. At the end of the day, BJ is all about cuddles. She loves snuggling up with her humans and is truly the ultimate cuddle bug. After spending time homeless, she’s ready for a second chance — a warm, loving home where she’ll never have to worry again. Our application process includes landlord approval and vet checks. Please make sure all of your information is current and accurate, including a valid email address and phone numbers. Inaccuracies and/or incomplete data will delay and/or cancel your application. We strive to process all applications in a timely manner, but with the high volume of applications we are receiving, it is taking anywhere from 1-3 weeks. You may be contacted via email if there are concerns or questions. Once all of your information is reviewed and if your application is approved, you will be notified via email. Submitting an application and receiving an approval does not guarantee you will be adopting the dog you applied for. Once you move to the meet and greet process, you will be contacted by the foster family to further discuss the dog, and answer questions you may have, and if applicable, a meet and greet will be set up at our adoption center. Meet and greets are only set up with approved applicants, and we require all members in the household to be present, as well as any current dogs in the home. Meet and greets take place at our adoption center located in New Berlin. If you are proceeding with adopting a Lucky Mutt, we will require the dog to have a Martingale collar at the time of adoption, to ensure the dogs safety during the transition to a new home. Current Adoption Fees Are: $425+tax for puppies to 3 years old $375+tax for ages 4-7 $275+tax for ages 8 and up Bonded pairs vary The adoption fee covers spay/neuter, up to date age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, general deworming, heartworm test, (if over 6 months) and a certified veterinary inspection. Please be aware, listed dog breeds are based on information provided and cannot be guaranteed. Submitting an application for a particular dog does not guarantee that you will be the applicant chosen, we receive several applications for each dog. Our adopters are picked based on the needs of the dog, and the home we feel with best fit based on your responses to our application, vet information and landlord requirements.
