Lego
AvailableLego is a senior, neutered male German Spitz with a long, red-orange coat. He’s house trained, vaccinated, and currently lives in Belington, WV. He does not have special needs.
About Lego
Lego carries himself with quiet dignity and a good nature. He’s an affectionate senior with a playful side, always happy to take gentle walks or nose through the grass. He has a mind of his own and sometimes prefers independent exploration, but he also craves attention and will stick close to those he trusts. Around newcomers, Lego can be reserved, warming up once he feels safe. He’d flourish in a calm home, away from noisy environments, where he can relax and enjoy company at his own pace. He’s spent most of his life as an only dog, so while he's learning to coexist with others, he still prefers to be surrounded by people rather than dogs. He is not fond of being picked up, but has a large reserve of love for anyone patient enough to let him come around on his own terms. Lego overcame a tough spell with dental pain, but he’s mended now and ready for a happy retirement. Click apply to start the adoption process.

Questions about Lego
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Lego, as a German Spitz, typically enjoys a quiet home with a stable environment. He thrives best where he can have both indoor comfort and opportunities to spend time outdoors.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
A medium-sized yard or regular access to safe walking areas suits Lego’s breed well. The German Spitz enjoys getting outside to explore, but doesn’t require a massive amount of space.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
In general, German Spitz dogs can be good with older children who understand how to respect an independent senior like Lego. Young kids may overwhelm him, especially given his reserved nature.
