Beans landed at the rescue because his previous person couldn’t cover the vet bills anymore. He’s now up to date on all his medical care and bounced back after surgery for one seriously overgrown toenail. He’s feeling much better—but as a true Chihuahua, Beans can get a little grumpy, especially with change. He’s no pushover and sometimes acts like that classic grumpy old guy everyone secretly likes. Beans would do best with a patient adopter who knows small dogs and doesn’t take things too personally. Meet-and-greets with any resident dogs are encouraged to make sure everyone’s on the same wavelength. Beans gets along with other dogs and can coexist with respectful kids, but he’ll need time to warm up.
