Karmie is a 6 year old poodle mix that recently returned to our rescue. She will be your constant companion. Karmie loves to always be with her foster Mom. She likes to be petted. She was first surrendered to a local shelter in 2021 and she was super stressed, so the shelter contacted the rescue. She weighs 21.6 pounds. The vets guess is that she could be a mini doodle or possibly a cockapoo. Karmie used to live in an adult only apartment as an only dog. She then was adopted and was an only dog with an older human mom. She is potty trained and loves to go for long walks and car rides! She has fun with toys, but also loves to shred paper towels or chew on a leather shoe! Karmie takes time to trust people she doesn't know. She will give a warning growl or air snap if she doesn't want to be touched. This includes brushing or nail clipping. Her anxiety has gotten better over time in her foster home, but it is still there. She needs a patient owner who will not be forceful with her. Karmie's adoption fee is $350. Karmie's anxiety when she goes to the vet or groomer is off the charts. When she went to the vet for the first time with the rescue she needed to be muzzled. Requirements for adoption: - NO children under 14 ( adult only home) - as an only dog or with calm fur friends that are not puppies. - a fur ever home where she will only be left alone for short periods of time - a patient home. It took Karmie 4-5 days to settle in to her foster home.
