About Violet
Violet is an energetic, sweet Catahoula Leopard Dog who’s ready to find her home as the only pet. Rescued from a rough start on a Louisiana interstate, she came into foster care malnourished and pregnant but proved resilient, raising her six puppies until they were adopted. Now spayed and current on vaccinations, Violet has put her past behind her and is eager to bond with her person. She’s all about people, enjoying back scratches and belly rubs, and she’ll never turn down a treat. High-spirited and fast on her feet, Violet thrives when mentally and physically active—agility training or regular walks suit her best. She can be jumpy when excited and may need ongoing guidance to manage her exuberance around children. Though crate trained and well-behaved indoors, she’s not quite fully house trained yet but is close. Violet cannot live with other dogs or cats. She’s dog reactive and needs to be the only dog in the home unless adopted as a pair with Steve, her exception. Her playfulness and charm make her a fun companion, but she needs an owner ready for her high energy and quirks. Heartworm treatment is complete; just keep up preventative care moving forward. Transport is available for the right match. Your new best friend is just one click away.
