About Mistletoe Special Needs
Mistletoe is a black and white tuxedo with medium-length fur who’s been waiting for a break. The last kitten left after her siblings found homes, Mistletoe landed in foster care from a managed colony. While sweet, she’s incredibly timid—she vanishes anytime visitors come by, so it’s not surprising people overlook her. If you’ve ever wanted a cat who keeps to herself, Mistletoe is the definition. She prefers to be invisible until it’s mealtime or treats, which she loves. Occasionally she’ll permit a little grooming with a slicker brush, but it’s on her terms. Mistletoe can’t handle noisy homes, kids, or animals in her space. She has a congenital heart defect, diagnosed by a cardiologist, but she doesn’t require medication; she just needs a quiet life. Other cats stress her out, though she tolerates the right companion at a distance. Her current setup, with frequent feline comings and goings, wears on her. Sometimes she even decompresses in a pen. The right home or patient foster would understand shy, reclusive cats like Mistletoe. She’s a project, but with understanding and routine, she’ll quietly thrive. Ready to fall in love?
