About Lilou

They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now! Lilou is a loving and happy girl who brings joy with her tail wags and sweet kisses. One of her favorite activities includes sniffy walks and sunbathing, and she enjoys relaxing on her dog beds while keeping you company. Lilou gets along wonderfully with other dogs and would love to have a canine companion. She is house-trained, loves treats, and occasionally enjoys playing with toys. This sweet Shepherd is around 6-7 years old and weighs about 40 lbs, making her the perfect medium-sized friend. Though Lilou has a cerebellar condition affecting her balance and coordination, she has adapted beautifully and maintains her enthusiasm for life. She uses a "Help Em Up" harness during the day, which allows for gentle support if she stumbles on walks, especially on neighborhood sidewalks. Indoors, she does best with carpets or rubber mats, which will come with her adoption to help her move comfortably on hard floors. Lilou thrives in a home where someone is around most of the time to enjoy her loving company, though she can also rest peacefully with other dogs while you are away on errands. She would do best in an all-adult home or with teens who understand and respect her mobility needs. Raised on the streets of the Bahamas, Lilou is now ready for her forever home in Florida—one that can give her just a little extra help and lots of love. She can’t wait to meet her new family! Make their next chapter their best one yet.
