About LiLou
Lilou is a happy, affectionate Shepherd with a sweet disposition and a real love for life. Her days are filled with sniffy walks, sunbathing, and relaxing near someone she trusts. She's house-trained, gentle with other dogs, and enjoys the company of both people and pups—she’d love the companionship of another dog in her forever home. Toys are fun for her in small bursts, but she’s perfectly content napping at your side while you work. Lilou is about 6-7 years old and weighs around 40 lbs. She lives with a cerebellar condition affecting her balance and coordination, but she doesn’t let that limit her joy. With a "Help Em Up" harness, she gets the support she needs on walks, and carpets or rubber mats inside the house help her move around safely. She adapts well, but her new family should be able to be with her most of the time or have other calm dogs at home for company when you’re out. She tends to do best in homes with adults or older teens who understand her unique needs, and she gets along with children, cats, and other dogs. Lilou’s adoption was generously sponsored, and she’s just looking for a patient, caring person able to help her thrive. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
