About Momma Auburn
Momma Auburn came into rescue with her newborn puppies after being found pregnant and stray in Haywood, TN. She gave birth at the shelter, and staff pleaded for help to get her and her little ones to safety. Auburn not only nursed her own pups but also took in several others who had lost their mothers, showing real nurturing instincts. After weaning them, Auburn moved to boarding at Happie Hounds, where she’s blossoming into a social, happy dog, finally learning to enjoy life on her own terms. Auburn is medium-sized with a black and tan coat, and she’s picked up new experiences surrounded by people and other dogs. She gets along well with dogs and children. Auburn isn’t house trained yet, but she’s intelligent and eager to learn. She’s still figuring out what it means to be just a dog, and she’s ready for a fresh start in a loving home.
