Maize
AvailableMaize is a small, spayed, and vaccinated female domestic medium hair cat being cared for at Lewis County Humane Society. She is house trained and has previously lived with other cats. Born in September 2023, Maize is still quite young and has adapted to indoor life after beginning as a feral cat. Her gentle nature and resilience shine through, especially given her journey as a devoted mother and her partial tail amputation.
About Maize
Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started. Maize may have started as a feral cat, but she has become accustomed to the cozy comforts of indoor life. Her journey began when her tiny kittens were discovered in a Humvee at Fort Drum, and thanks to kind soldiers and the dedication of rescuers, she was trapped and reunited with her babies. Although her tail had to be amputated due to injury, Maize continued to care for her babies with exceptional devotion. All her kittens have found homes, and now spayed and fully vetted, Maize remains in a foster home, still shy and unable to be touched. However, she has blossomed into a stunning cat who might open up to someone with patience and understanding. If you’re ready to provide a loving sanctuary and have time to help her come out of her shell, Maize could be the perfect fit for your home. Since Maize was born on September 4, she's a practical and loyal Virgo—a zodiac sign known for its gentle nature and appreciation of security. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
