About Layla
Layla is 7 years young and hoping to spend her golden years with a family that appreciates her oversized lapdog energy. She’s a large, brown terrier mix who loves being close to her people—sometimes so much that she’ll try to climb right on top of you for cuddles. A gentle soul at 65 lbs, Layla is well-behaved, non-destructive, and trustworthy free-roaming at home, though early on, she does need reassurance and can come off a bit clingy. Once she realizes she’s staying put, she settles into a calm, loving companion. Layla does well in her crate but prefers sleeping right up against you if she’s allowed. Despite her age, she still enjoys short walks, a good tug-of-war, and games of fetch. She does best with dogs that are laid-back and respect her boundaries; high-energy, in-your-face types aren’t her style. Layla currently lives with six cats, mostly ignoring them or getting startled if they come too close—no chasing or aggression here. She hasn’t lived with kids, but she’s polite and happy to get attention from children in public. Layla is the kind of dog who could fit into many families as long as you’re ready for a loving, mildly velcro sidekick. For context, she’s a Libra, which might explain her people-pleasing ways.
