About Huckleberry
They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply? Meet Huckleberry! When Huckleberry first arrived at the rescue in 2024, he was emaciated, undersocialized, and uncertain about his surroundings. With time, patience, and the dedication of caring volunteers, Huckleberry has truly blossomed into a lovable, goofy companion. This 6-year-old Labrador/Great Dane mix is a big, sensitive soul with a gentle heart. While he might be a bit shy and bark when meeting new faces, once trust is built, you’re rewarded with cuddles, loyalty, and laughter. Huckleberry enjoys walking with other dogs and loves playing with select rescue buddies. His treat motivation makes training sessions enjoyable and productive. As his confidence grows, you’ll witness a charming, affectionate side—he loves to play fetch, be at your side, and always look his best. Huckleberry appreciates a consistent bedtime routine, usually ready for sleep by 8 p.m., and expects late-night wake-ups only when necessary! If you’re willing to help Huckleberry on his confidence-building journey, you’ll gain a devoted friend with plenty of love and heart to offer. He is currently located in Southern California with Labradors and Friends Dog Rescue Group. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
